Panthers land three primetime games on 2026 schedule coming off playoff appearance, including Sunday Night Football

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers will get a bigger spotlight next season after their surprise playoff appearance this year. The team landed three primetime games on the 2026 schedule, including a Sunday Night Football matchup, the league confirmed Thursday.
Coming off a division title, the Panthers will host two of those three night games at Bank of America Stadium. The Sunday Night Football game is set for early November against a yet-to-be-announced opponent. The other two primetime slots include a Thursday night contest in late September and a Monday night game in mid-December.
This marks the first time since 2018 that Carolina has received multiple primetime games in a single season. The team's turnaround under head coach Dave Canales has clearly caught the attention of network executives. After finishing 8-9 in 2024, the Panthers jumped to 11-6 last season and won the NFC South for the first time in a decade.
The full 2026 schedule with exact dates and opponents will be released in the spring. For now, the Panthers know they will be playing under the lights at least three times, a sign that the league sees them as a rising draw.
